  Introduction:

Uranus is one of the gas giants and seventh planet from the Sun. It is the third largest and 4th massive planet in the solar system. It is named after the ancient Greek deity of sky Uranus. It is 1st planet discovered in modern age and it was discovered by William Herschel in 1781.

It was found many times but it was ignored as small star because of its dimness and slow orbit. It has been visited by only 1 spacecraft, Voyager 2 in 1986. It orbits sun once every 84.01 earth years and rotates its axis once in every 17 h 14 min. It has 22 moons. Out of these 2 largest moon are Titania and Oberon, which also discovered by William Herschel in 1787.

It has surface area of 8.12 x 10^9 km^2 and mass is 8.68 x 10^25 kg. Avg distance of Uranus from sun is 2,870,990,000 km and 35 year to complete one revolution. Day on Uranus is about 17 hour.
